Jeff Koons

Jeff Koons (1965-) Artista americano. Nasceu em York, Pensilvania. Formação artística 1972-1975 Maryland College of Art, Baltimore, Maryland. 1975-1976 School of Art of Institute of Art of Chicago. Em 1976, BFA Maryland College of Art, Baltimore, Mariland. É um dos mais poderosos artistas do século XX. Suas obras estão em todos os grandes museus e coleções do mundo. Pinturas, desenhos, objetos, esculturas, fotografias, instalações e intervenções públicas são seus meios de expressão considerado um dos mais poderosos do mundo. Trabalha com séries. Banalities datada de 1988 foi executada em porcelana, cerâmica e madeira. Há uma representação de figuras humanas e animais da cultura popular. Made in Heaven fez fotografias e esculturas com sua mulher Cicciolina durante o ato sexual. Outras Celebration, Easyfun, Elephants, Popeye, Hulk e Antiquity. Participou das Bienais de São Paulo e do Whitney Museum, Nova York.
