Vik Muniz tem a honra de ser o primeiro artista contemporâneo a mostrar no The Mauritshuis com a maior exposição, até o momento, de sua série Verso incluindo cinco novos trabalhos feitos a partir de obras primas da coleção do museu. Fundado por João Mauricio de Nassau, o Mauritshuis é um dos mais importantes museus da Holanda. O monumento do século dezessete, localizado no centro de Den Haag, abriga uma coleção de arte mundialmente reconhecida incluindo trabalhos icônicos como The Girl with The Pearl Earring de Vermeer e Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp; ambas apropriadas por Muniz em Verso.
Vik Muniz has the honor of being the first contemporary artist to show at The Mauritshuis, with the largest exhibit of his series Verso to date, including five new works based upon the master pieces of the museum's collection. Founded by João Mauricio de Nassau, the Mauritshuis is one of the most important museums in the Netherlands. Located at The Hague, the seventeenth-century monument houses a world renown collection including iconic works like Vermeer's The Girl with the Pearl Earring and Rembrandt's Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp; both appropriated by Muniz in Verso.
